ABOUT VILVI

FAQ

We are now your favourite website. We are building a new type of creator lead economy using trackable products, our favourite of which are records made by fantastic musicians.

A VILVI release is a bundle of music related goodness from the artist, direct to you and your account. It could be digital music, physical music media, special artwork, interview tapes, access to artist-designed interactive experiences. The possibilities match the creative capacity of the artists.

Digitised objects and products, like Vinyl records, and music NFT's exist simultaneously in real life and online. These digital assets are linked to physical assets for each collectors account, and associated environments.

Firstly, we benefit artists and creators through ongoing payments based on when their work is resold through associating fan accounts with each bit of media. This is because we actually care about people. We aren't paying corporate lip service using buzz words, but actually doing stuff that everyone, hopefully you included, actually value.

VILVI grant fund will facilitate music projects across the globe. Starting as we mean to go on, we will ensure that our community regularly votes on where our grant fund should be invested, from building music studios in places where resources are scarce, launching new artists, to backing project-specific digital or Virtual Vinyl releases.

Our artists are hand-picked by us and our advisors at the moment. VILVI will launch for public artist uploads in due course. Sign up for an account for first artist access 'here'.

Yes, we welcome onboarding labels rights holders and distributors as part of our ecosystem. We believe that a federated system of services leads to the most diverse kinds of music, and want to preserve the independence of artists, labels and collectives.
